It is always a great time start a website. The sooner you start a website, the better! If your goal is to make money from blogging or have a creative space to share and document your life, now is a great time get started. Many people want to start a site, but have no idea where to start. Don’t worry – it’s not that hard! I’m going to walk you through what you do to start a website.
How to Start a Website
First thing you need to do is click here to buy your domain name.
Bluehost offers the best deals on domain names, when I bought my site I opted for the three year plan. For the price you’ll pay, I haven’t seen a better deal.
Before you decide on a domain name, see if that name is also available in an email address.
Website Plans and Prices
The plans and prices are phenomenal. I chose the basic plan at $3.45 a month.
Once you select which plan you are going to purchase, on the next screen you’ll enter in a website domain name.
After a domain name was chosen, you’ll now enter all your personal information to complete the purchase.
Under account plan is where you’ll choose the amount of years you will own the domain name.
I chose not to buy site backup, search engine jumpstart, or the sitelock security. However this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t.
I just know my site wouldn’t need those. Finally when you enter everything in, check the box, and hit submit you’ll to be all done with that page.
Design your Website
So now you own the website, how do you design it. Click here to go Restored 316, which is what I used to design my site.
Restored 316 has great prices on how to theme your website. After you purchase how your website will look like, you need to purchase how you write on your website.
This is where Genesis Framework will help you. Click here to purchase Genesis Framework, which will give you WordPress ability on your website.
The login process is so smooth and easy, yet it doesn’t stop there.
Once you’re logged in, the easy processes continue with tabs you can click on to help guide you. These tabs guide you in what you are doing throughout the site.
It took me about 30 minutes to get a grasp on how things work, but after that I’ve never looked back. Your site will succeed with these purchases.
After the Website is Built
After you have purchased everything to build your site, now what? This is when you promote it, make it your own, and have fun.
It’s fun seeing the data on the number of views to your site. Or even better, knowing content was shared from your site.
It’s fun to know that people like the content on your site, so they share it on social media.
Make your site work for you, get some sort of value from it, whether that is income or fun, make it a fun hobby.
These processes today will cost you, but in the long run you’ll gain more than you put out.
