As a disabled veteran myself, I’m always needing side hustles to make ends meet. My side hustles helps me make more money to live a better life.
Even though I am gainfully employed and have my own business, I still hustle on the side.
I’ll give you a few side hustle idea’s that works for everyone.
I drove about 30 hours a week to earn about $500. It was a lot of fun as well.
After I took out gas and taxes from what I made, I was averaging $15 dollars an hour.
I truly enjoyed driving for Uber because I have a CDL so driving came natural to me.
Easy money with high potential is something I always look for.
If you have a vehicle, you can deliver packages because Uber and Amazon both have a package delivery service.
Although I am mentioning it in this post, I have no information concerning either one of those.
Think outside the box to come up with your own side hustle. People always want their cars detailed, so for $40 of car cleaning stuff you can earn unlimited amounts of money.
I see ads on craigslist all the time. Honestly, get business cards designed through Fiver for $5, then send the logo to a business to print them out.
Walk around and put business cards on nice cars with a price to detail them.
Side Hustle for Veterans without a Car
So, you don’t have a car and think you can’t do anything on the side, WRONG!!!
You could still hustle on the side without a car, maybe you could start buying items and reselling them.
My thing was graphing calculators, I’d buy cheap and resell high. I would buy from college or high school students at $20-$35 and resell them on Amazon for $50-$65 on the same day.
Sometimes I would buy from a pawn shop as well, it’s all easy money. You can package them in a 6*9 bubble wrap envelope to ship them for less than $3.00.
As a result, I made a minimum of $20 on each sale. I did this 20 times a month.
Online Side Hustles
Due to the presence of online work, another side hustle is learning how to help people with something online.
As a result of your great writing skills, advertise your skill set online and see if someone will hire you to write for them.
Moreover, see if someone will hire you to inspect their webpage for bugs or issues. No matter what: money earned is money earned.
It’s very easy to learn about web paging, most of the time you can Google search it and find out all the coding you need. If you bought a book, you could self teach yourself in a matter of months.
Follow this blog post on how to start your own website. Once you have your website, practice, and learn on your own. Once you’ve made your website look amazing, offer that service to another person.
This is a great website that allows lots of freelance work for many different things. It might take time before you start earning consistent money from people, but that is due to people needing to see what you have produced and
Side Hustles for Female Vets or Spouses
I know this is going to sound very cliche, but people don’t look at men and women the same in the babysitting/nanny business. Starting a daycare or babysitting from home has always been done by women.
Earn what you can off this very cliche idea. Sign up through here, list your availability, and see what happens.
Another business that has been cropping up in the past few years is pre-cooked meals for people.
You would pre-cook all the meals for them, put them in a microwaveable bowl packaging, and when the person is ready to eat they just heat it up.
This can be done by either sex, but I’ve seen women offering it more often.
I have worked in areas where you work so many hours, you have little time for anything. I have seen women picking up men’s clothing to wash it.
These women would wash and fold laundry then return, which made them a good living off it.
I’ve also seen women starting cleaning businesses. You can go far with your own cleaning businesses, if you get offices and such.
Other Things to do as a Side Hustle
Here are a few other side hustles that just about anyone can do. Donating plasma is a great way to bring in extra money. I donated plasma a few years ago, I brought home $300 a month just for a few hours of my time.
You could always start a dog walking or pet sitting business. Pets are insanely popular right now, so market your business to cash in on that.
This can easily be done as a way to make you exercise as well. Start an account with Rover.com and I’m pretty sure you’ll be contacted fairly quickly.
If you are an arts and craft person, you can sell your things on Etsy. Etsy is a great website for people looking to buy great looking pieces made from another’s passion. Check it out, it’s pretty awesome.
Here’s a really good course to take if you want to know more about side hustling and making a good income from it.
